Our Banas Dairy Hon. Chairman Shankarbhai Chaudhary Sir brings new projects to improve the welfare of the people of the district. Similarly, Banas Jal Shakti Abhiyan was initiated to make Great Banaskantha green and watery. In our Banaskantha district, the groundwater is going deep day by day. Water scarcity is happening everywhere in the district to maintain animal husbandry and agriculture in our district. Our Hon. Chairman Banas Dairy has concerns with the Board of Directors and among the farmers regarding the importance of rainwater and water conservation for a long-term solution to the acute water crisis in the district. Thus, the beginning of water harvesting in our district, on the birthday of our Chairman Shri Shankarbhai on 3 December 2020, under the guidance and inspiration of the Hon. Chairman, the Banas Jal Shakti Abhiyan (BJSA) Department and the Banas Water Harvesting Team were formally formed by the President of GNPCT Shri P. J. Chaudhary and the Board of Directors of Banas Dairy. Banas Jal Shakti Abhiyan (BJSA) initiative auspiciously by inaugurating places where more rainwater can be arrested, in trenches, old and new ponds in each taluka by directors in the presence of farmers and milk producers.
